Haskayne School of Business – Prosperity and Planet: Financing the Energy Transition: Featuring Eavor CEO, John Redfern

A massive shift is occurring in the global economy. In less than 30 years the world is aiming to hit net-zero carbon emissions. Research, innovation and adoption of renewables have rapidly expanded in the past decades, but even with these advances, renewables alone will not get the world to the net-zero commitments in the Paris Agreement. High carbon industries need to be a part of the transition.

Canada is up for the challenge, but how can resource industries forge a path forward that is both profitable and founded in ESG principles?

Watch the panel that gathered on May 20, 2021 to address the opportunities for Calgary and Canada’s energy sector as we transition to a low carbon economy and announce the BMO Professorship in Sustainable and Transition Finance.
